The Fourth Wall is an imaginary wall that divides the audience and the actor. It is when the boundary is broken and the actor directly speaks to and engages with the audience. I don't think I would consider 'breaking the fourth wall' in my film as after watching films such as Ferris Bueller's Day Off I think that it is a hard thing to pull off and I don't feel that it would work with the genre that I am in, as it is quite serious and breaking the fourth wall would spoil the mood.
